HCG Diet FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is HCG?

HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. It is a hormone that is frequently produced in large quantity during pregnancy. HCG in both men and women serves as a precursor for other hormones including testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, and thyroid hormones. In very low dose, HCG was found to sustain lean muscle mass and suppress appetite.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Though every patient’s weight loss during the program may vary, most patients report weight loss of half a pound and up to a pound a day. The difference between patients is base on the patient’s degree of obesity, medical condition, metabolism, and compliance with the diet program.

I saw HCG pills and oral drops in the store. Do they work?

Base on our clinical research, the only method to effectively administer the HCG into the bloodstream is by injection. The injection is self administered daily through a fine insulin syringe. The injection is basically painless and extremely easy to learn. Patients will be taught how to conduct the injection during their initial visit.

Our most popular program lengths are 4, 6, and 8 weeks.

Yes. Unlike the Simeons diet, lotion and moisturizer are allowed during the program.

It takes 48-72 hours for the HCG to be effective once it is introduced to your body. We suggest patients to start their low calorie diet on the third or fourth day after they started their program.

How do I get started?

Please contact our office to schedule your initial consultation. Since we will need blood work results in order for our providers to evaluate if you are a good candidate for the program, we advice patients to have their blood works completed before their initial consultation.
